Morning Psalm

Oratio (prayer)
Lord God, Your word runs very swiftly. Send Your Holy Spirit as I pray Psalm 147 this morning, that I may praise You and trust Your commandment, through Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Meditatio (meditation)
Psalm 147:12-20
12Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
14He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
Consider even rereading in another translation.

You might read the whole reading slowly, aloud, more than once.
Consider this verse, for example:
“He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.” (Psalm 147:15)
What other lines speak to you?
The Law The LORD "sheweth his word unto Jacob" (v. 19), yet "as for his judgments, they have not known them" (v. 20) among the nations who walk without Him. We too can treat His Word as distant, and live as if His commandment never reached us.
The Gospel "He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly" (v. 15). That Word became flesh in Jesus. He "sendeth out his word, and melteth them" (v. 18): cold hearts thaw at His voice. He has dealt with you as with His people, showing you His statutes in Christ. Praise the LORD, for His Word has reached you this morning.
Prayer Lord, I confess that I have ignored Your Word. Forgive me for Jesus' sake. Send forth Your commandment into my heart, and let me praise You today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Tentatio (trial)
Cold and hard days can make God's Word feel far away. Under trial it may help to remember that "his word runneth very swiftly" (v. 15). You might ask Him to send that Word into your morning, and trust that it will do its work.
Prayer Lord, send out Your Word into my day. Melt what is cold in me, and keep me praising You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
