South Africa: Dirkiesdorp, Mpumalanga

I served as a doctor on two mission trips with the Themba Trust in Dirkiesdorp, Mpumalanga, in October 2012 and May 2013. That is where my walk as a Lutheran began.

Dirkiesdorp is a small village in the Mkhondo Local Municipality of Mpumalanga province in eastern South Africa, about 45 km (28 miles) west-southwest of the town of Piet Retief (eMkhondo), which lies just west of the Eswatini border.
